Gold Coast Home Renovations
Your Number One Choice for Quality Home Improvements
When it comes to renovating your home, it is essential to involve your builder early, particularly if you want to keep your renovation costs down. Whilst we would all love an architecturally designed home, planning your home renovation with your builder before your architect will help to keep your budget in check.
At Maintenance Guys Constructions, we can help you work through design and engineering challenges, to create a home renovation you’ll love for years to come.
Here is the process we strive to undertake when planning your home renovation with you:
Step 1: Your Vision and Goals for Your Renovation
Before we head out to give you a quote on your renovation, ask yourself a few questions about what you want to achieve with your home renovation. There’s a few examples of reasons people renovate homes below. Have an idea of why you want to renovate and what goals you want to achieve, so we can help you plan.
Are you renovating to sell?
Do you want to create a sanctuary for get togethers with family and friends?
Do you want enough space so your children can grow up in the home and you never have to move?
What does your dream home look like? What kind of materials or finishes would you like?
Step 2: Your Renovation Budget
Nobody has an endless budget to spend on luxury renovations, so it’s important to let us know what you have to spend upfront. That way, we can help you design the initial concepts of your renovation with your budget in mind. If your budget doesn’t allow for everything you’d like to achieve, we can make suggestions on alternative designs or different materials for certain elements of your renovation.
For example, an engineered stone rather than a slab of stone could save some dollars with your kitchen renovation, whilst still being aesthetically pleasing. Involving us in concept designs for your architect is likely to prove beneficial in the long run, especially when it comes to your budget.
Step 3: Evaluating The Cost of Your Renovation
As a full service renovation company, we can arrange for an architect to draw up plans (if required) or liaise with an architect of your choice.
We will draw up the scope of works and give you a quote for your renovation. Having us involved early should mean there aren’t too many revisions to be made to your scope of works. If you need to revise your plans we can work with you here to suit your budget.
We can arrange any council building approvals and certifications on your behalf to keep the process of your home renovation running smoothly. We are always conscious of variations and extra expenses that crop up along the way and will keep you fully informed.
We will NEVER cheaply price a job just to get you to sign the contract, then bombard you with extra ‘unforeseen’ expenses throughout your renovation.
Step 4: Your Renovation Contract & Paperwork
Once you have given us the go ahead, we will issue you with a contract. If you are borrowing to fund your home renovation, this may be required for the bank. We aim to be as transparent as possible and will outline every aspect of your renovation and associated warranty and insurance as part of your contract.
We will also get started on organising all necessary council approvals for your renovation. Again, handling the approval process can be a complex task. As part of your home renovation we take the stress off you, the homeowner, by liaising with council on your behalf. Our willingness to go the extra mile makes us the best choice for your home renovation on the Gold Coast.
Step 5: Your Home Renovation Begins
Here is where the fun begins as we bring your home renovation to life! We’ll project manage every aspect of your renovation and our fully qualified team of tradespeople will complete your home renovation to perfection.
We’ll liaise with you as much or as little as you like along the way. Either way, you can rest assured your renovation project is in good hands and our expert team are working hard to bring your vision to reality.
Our QBCC Licensed, fully insured team are here to renovate your home, from small renovations to large, on time and on budget. When your renovation is complete, we’ll ensure you are issued with all the official certificates confirming our renovation work complies with Australian standards.
